Centre Asks States, Union territories to protect Kashmiri Students
The aftermath of Pulwama attack has scared many Kashmiri’s in different states who claim of being threatened. Some Kashmiri youths studying in the Uttarakhand capital, Dehradun, have alleged that they were harassed and have been asked to vacate as their landlords fear attacks on their properties.
The Centre on Saturday, 16 February, has asked all the states to take action against any such act and to protect the Kashmir’s residing in their states. This advisory to all states and Union territories was sent hours after home minister Rajnath Singh assured an all-party meeting of doing needful for the Kashmir’s facing problems after the recent terror attack that claimed lives of 40 Indian CRPF personnel.
Even the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah had asked on Friday to home minister Rajnath Singh to direct all the states to ensure their safety
