Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Case: CBI tells court that it is investigating the case
The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) told the Supreme Court on Friday that it was investigating the alleged murder of 11 girls in the Muzaffarpur shelter home case against the key suspects Brajesh Thakur, and his accomplices.
CBI has filed an affidavit in the top court. It said that a bundle of bones was recovered at a particular spot in a burial ground. Several girls were allegedly raped and sexually abused at an NGO-run shelter home at Muzaffarpur in Bihar and the issue had come to light following a report by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
This matter was taken up by bench comprising of Ranjan Gogoi and Deepak Gupta. The bench, after hearing the brief submissions, posted the matter for hearing on May 6.
