NRIs protest infront of Pak consulate in USA
Indo- Americans went on to protest before the Pakistani Consulate in Chicago and NewYork with placards displaying “stop supporting terrorism” and chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
A memorandum was submitted by the Indian-American community to the Pakistani Consulate to stop supporting terrorists. The community leaders said Pakistan is a terrorist hub and is busy in manufacturing company of terrorists while harbouring and nurturing them to be dark men of death.
Not only Pakistani Consulate, but Indo-Americans also urged the Chinese Consulate in Chicago that Beijing should stop sheltering and supporting hard-line extremist terrorists. They were referring to China as a veto-wielding permanent UNSC member, blocking India's repeated bids in the Security Council Sanctions Committee to designate Pakistan based JeM Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist.
Chairman of Indian American Cultural centre Bharat Barai said China should urge Pakistan to stop supporting terrorism worldwide. This was the first protest by the Indian-American community in front of the Chinese consulate in Chicago. The community also held a candlelight vigil at the Royal Alberts Palance.
