The lockdown of India for 21 days has created panic in the people. They have many questions like ‘what should we do at home all this time?’, ‘How do we manage without essentials?’, ‘What if the food supplies and other essentials are not enough?’, etc. Here is the advice for you from the Ministry of Health, ‘Say No to Panic Buying’.
“Prepare, but sensibly! Panic buying IS NOT wise. Let us take preventive measures to fight against #COVID19. Share this information and help us help you. Be wise, be safe!” Ministry of Health said. As this is the month-end, it is common that we have a shortage of essentials at our homes and so the people are buying a lot as they cannot go out often for things. This is what we call ‘Panic buying’.
Though there will be a shortage of goods, we must understand that other people too need essentials to survive and so one should buy what is necessary. Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while announcing the lockdown of the country, said that the essentials will be provided and so there is no need to panic.
“My fellow citizens, there is absolutely no need to panic. Essential commodities, medicines, etc. would be available. Centre and various state governments will work in close coordination to ensure this. Together, we will fight COVID-19 and create a healthier India. Jai Hind!” Modi said. People all over India are appreciating the decision of Modi about the lockdown of the country for 21 days.
