India Trail By 39 Runs On 3rd Day, First Test
India trail New Zealand by 39 runs after the former finished the day at 144 for four. Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari remained unbeaten on 25 and 15, respectively, at the end of Day 3 in Wellington.
Right from day 1, New Zealand has been on the dominant side and their tail wagged big time to post a good first innings total of 348. The deficit of 183 understandably put India under severe pressure.
With the wicket of Mayank Agarwal, Southee became the first New Zealand bowler to pick up 300 wickets in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is combined.
