Indian Batswoman To Enter Into Films?
India’s new cricket sensation, Smriti Mandhana, has helped the Indian women’s cricket to reach great heights. The 21-year-old left-handed batswoman, got her first breakthrough in 2013 when she became the first Indian woman to score a double hundred in an under-19 tournament.
Rumors are doing rounds that this beautiful young cricketer might be making her acting debut soon. A leading south Indian actor has approached her as a female lead for his new project. Although Smriti has no plans to enter into the film industry and wants to focus on her cricket career, the actor is leaving no stones unturned to cast her in. The same actor also approached Sania Mirza earlier, who said no to acting very firmly.
Smriti was named as the Best Women's International Cricketer by BCCI in June 2018. In December 2018, the International Cricket Council awarded her with the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the best female cricketer of the year and ODI player of the year. She is also called as Lady Lion.
It will be interesting to see her off-the-field performance if she enters into movies!
