PV Sindhu Wins World Badminton Championships Gold!
PV Sindhu has become the first Indian to win a World Championships gold medal on Sunday in Basel! After suffering losses for the past three years, the champ was at her best in today’s match and changed her silver into gold! Sindhu took just 38 minutes to outperform former champion Nozomi Okuhara of Japan 21-7, 21-7 in a one-sided final. After winning, Sindhu said with happiness that she has lost twice and now, winning is very important for her and she thanked everyone who supported her. And more interesting thing is that today is Sindhu mother’s birthday. “I dedicate this medal to my mother it is her birthday. A big thanks to my coach Gopichand and Kim Ji Hyun (Korean coach and my support staff,” Sindhu said. Isn’t it a wonderful gift that makes her mother proud!
