A light-hearted workplace moment turned viral when a young employee attended a virtual meeting wearing a face mask and towel, surprising her CEO. The incident involved Naresh Harwani and employee Vartika Bisht during an online team call.
Initially caught off guard, Harwani responded humorously by asking about the face pack, to which Bisht replied “Neem,” prompting laughter among colleagues. The video quickly gained traction online, receiving hundreds of thousands of views and shares.
Bisht later revealed that the act was a planned prank by the marketing team, aimed at creating a fun workplace moment. She credited the company’s positive culture for allowing such creativity, noting that she would not have attempted it in a more rigid environment.
Harwani, who leads a remote-first company, said he supports a balance between professionalism and enjoyment, especially in startups where stress levels can be high. He emphasized that as long as productivity is maintained, occasional fun helps strengthen team bonding.
