Hyderabad Job Racket Busted - Around 1 Lakh People Cheated
One of the biggest rackets which cheated many people who were desperate in seeking jobs has been busted by cyberabad police. The racket came to light after city-based youth Yedukondalu Gannavarapu approached the cops on January 21.
Yedukondalu was duped of $675 who had deposited it in Wisdom IT Services India Pvt. Ltd. run by Ajay Kolla who claimed to be the CEO of the company.
After the investigation done by police, it was revealed that the firm had cheated around 69,962 job applicants from India. They had collected around 28 crores by such fraudulent means. Along with Indians around 35000 people from foreign countries like the Netherlands, Jordan, the UK, Sri Lanka, Australia, and Malaysia were also cheated.
These people used to connect to people looking for jobs and then used to schedule their interview. They used the collect the money from them for organizing interview and certificate verification claiming a guaranteed job.
While there are many who are falling prey to such activities, there must be awareness spread to stop the intention of such people. Meanwhile, police have frozen 19 lakh rupees and all the accused, including the CEO and employees, were booked.
