India records its highest single-day spike of 13,586 new COVID-19 cases and 336 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The number of total active cases now stands at 1,63,248 now, while overall recoveries have crossed 2 lakh now at 2,04,710, rising 10,386 in the last 24 hours. The total death toll stands at 12,573, rising by 336 in the past 24 hours.
While the most affected state Maharashtra continues to report the most number of cases daily, Tamil Nadu became the second state in the country to register over 50,000 coronavirus cases after Maharashtra.
Maharashtra and Delhi added over 1,600 deaths related to COVID-19 which were not reported earlier. Meanwhile, Haryana is emerging as the 10th most-affected state in the country.
Also, with more than 500 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, Gujarat’s COVID-19 tally crossed the 25,000.
While the Centre and state governments have been trying hard to check the spread of coronavirus by tracking, isolating and treating the infected persons, the rise in Coronavirus cases daily is creating worry for everyone.
