Issued Circular Changed Within 7 Days

Union Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed the media persons in BJP head Quarters on Thursdays where he stated that the NHAI circular has been canceled, the circular was issued which had put only 4,500 km of NH works in the High-1 priority list.

All the officials had received a policy guideline on May 2nd from NHAI, about directing them not to proceed with land acquisition, in respect of High-2 priority projects. The NHAI circular detailing the priority list had left out some of the National highways stretches in Kerala, which has been approved as a part of Bharatmala project, and maybe the move was politically motivated.

Gadkari, however, was very clear on the topic and stated that he and the Kerala chief minister, decided that whatever it takes for development of the state, we would have to do it. This priority-1 and priority-2 is wrong news. All the Bharatmala projects are underway and detailed project reports will be made. And that there will be no injustice towards Kerala.
