Tallest Building In The Country At 268m In Kolkata

Kolkata, 42 Chowringhee (JN Road) is the new address of the tallest building in the country with a height of 268 meters, The 42 consisting of 65 floors. The construction is completed and The 42 stands with pride as the tallest building in the country. Thanks to sanction of an additional four floors, it would have been the second highest, The Imperial in south Mumbai’s Tardeo being the first.

The next tallest in Kolkata is Urbana, at a height of 167.6 meters, it is almost 100 meters short. Forum Atmosphere and Westin at 152 meters and 150 meters respectively, make up the list of all the buildings that are over 150 meters tall.

Thereafter it gets crowded with 13 buildings taller than 100 meters which include South city, ITC Royal Bengal and Acropolis.

There are two big projects under various stages of developments, two residential and one commercial.

The national president-elect of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India Harsh Patoda of Unimark group remarked that new age development like these will impact an international and global favor to the city.
