12 Old Majestic time clocks to get a 'Makeover'

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will restore and renovate 12 old clock towers across the city. Arvind Kumar, principal secretary municipal administration, visited Shalibhanda, Sultan Bazar, and Monda market and saw that the clocks were either dilapidated or non-functional.

He directed GHMC officials to prepare a restoration plan that includes repair of the clocks, constructing a compound wall on all four sides, painting and lighting and also trimming of trees for better visibility.

Assembly hall in premises of Sultan Bazar government high school will also be repaired. Arvind asked the GHMC officials to repair the non-functional clocks and also ensure the periodical maintenance.

Arvind went around personally to Sultan Bazar, Monda Market, Old Jail khana where he ordered the officials to fix in the clocks and also to repair as soon as possible. Also addresses zonal commissioner to convene a meeting with local shopkeepers and take up minimum repairs with their cooperation.
