Andhra Pradesh Crosses 3 Lakh-Mark In Covid-19 Cases, Death Toll Reaches 2,820
State of Andhra Pradesh continues to follow an upward trend in reporting the high number of coronavirus cases.
Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours reported 9,652 fresh cases taking the total cases in the state pass 3 lakh-mark and reaching 3,06,261. Apart from it, 88 fresh casualties reported in the last 24 hours taking the count of the total fatalities in the state to 2,820.
Meanwhile, as many as 9,211 patients were declared cured of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases stands at 3,06,261 including 85,130 active cases, 2,18,311 recoveries and 2,820 deaths till date.
14 deaths were reported in the in Chittoor district, 11 in Prakasam, nine each in Anantapur, Guntur, and Kurnool, seven in Nellore, six in West Godavari, five each in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram, four in East Godavari, three in Krishna and one in Kadapa district.
Also, 56,090 samples were tested in the state in the 24 hours since Monday morning, taking the total to 29,61,611 tests thus far—the fourth-highest in India after Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.
