Bengaluru To Hyderabad Now In 150 Minutes!
Indian Railways is considering building a semi-high-speed track between Bengaluru and Hyderabad, two flourishing IT hubs in the nation.
A report by India InfraHub claims the railway track is capable of running trains at a speed of 200 km per hour, reducing the travel time between two cities to two-and-a-half hours, or 150 minutes.
According to the PM Gati Shakti initiative, the project will cost approximately ₹30,000 crores. It will cover a distance of 503 kilometers between Yelahanka Station in Bengaluru and Secunderabad Station in Hyderabad.
The proposed route for the track has been mapped out avoiding detours between the 2 major cities.
A fencing wall of 1.5m in height will also be built on both sides of this semi-high speed railway track that will help the train to operate at the proposed speed without any hurdles, said the report.
With the current infrastructure, it takes 10 to 11 hours for passengers to commute to 2 cities by train.
The 2 cities will get closer via road too as earlier, Nitin Gadkari, the Union transport minister, had spoken about the Bengaluru-Chennai expressway, stating that once the expressway is ready for use, travel time between the two cities will be reduced to two hours.
