CCD Founder Missing!
V.G. Siddhartha, 60, has been missing since Monday night and if reports are to be believed, he jumped of a bridge in Ullal. Reports from Mangalore police station informed that a person jumped of the Netravati river bridge and search operation started immediately.
The founder of Café Coffee Day and son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna, left from Bengaluru in his SUV. On the way, he asked his driver to take him to Mangalore to Ullal bridge. Then he told him to go ahead further and he would walk up to the car. But he never returned.
The massive search to locate the missing person is on, with 200 personnel and 25 swimmers. The dog squad also stopped in the middle of the bridge.
Siddhartha had earlier written a letter to the retail chain board and to the staff stating that he is under huge financial pressure from one of his private equity partners. He also mentioned that after fighting for a long time, he is now giving up. He also apologized to let everyone down.
