Coronavirus has shaken the entire world and is continuing its authority. The spread of the virus is increasing drastically all over the world and it reached several places in India, too. In Kerala, 6 more cases have been identified, making the count 12. With this, the government has taken a strict decision to close the schools, colleges, and cinema halls until 31 March 2020.
“At least 1116 people are under observation — 149 in isolation wards of various hospitals and 967 under home quarantine,” said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, after the discussions held in a special cabinet meeting. The friends and relatives of the Italy-returned couple and their kid are tested positive for the virus. Also, the parents of the couple are among the six.
A three-year-old child of the couple who returned with his parents to Kochi has also tested positive on Monday. Earlier, the three-positive cases of Corona were treated successfully and now, the dreadful virus started its second innings. However, the patients are under observation. The Chief Minister, as a safety measure, declared the shutdown of schools, colleges, and cinema halls until March 31.
Classes from I to VII standards of all schools, including state, CBSE and ICSE boards will remain closed and examinations are ordered to be put on hold. However, examinations for class X, Plus Two, and vocational higher secondary will continue. Final examinations of class VIII and IX also will continue as usual.
