Cyclone Fani Close to Odisha Coast
Amidst the Lok Sabha Election News w natural calamity has arisen which needs to be taken care of, and Odisha is all, ready and set to face it. Cyclone Fani, which is likely to intensify into an extreme and deadly cyclonic storm may hit Odisha coast by 3rd May.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) cautioned that Cyclone Fani is moving towards Odisha which is likely to make landfall on the coast, and the exact point of landfall will be ascertained by Tuesday morning.
The state is all well prepared and has strengthened the preparation to tackle any types of extremities. While IMD forecasted heavy rainfall and strong winds in several parts of the state the government is quite confident about the precautions are taken by them.
The IMD issued a bulletin that Cyclone Fani is located at 840km southeast of Chennai which is likely to intensify the heavy rainfall and strong winds. It will move towards northeastwards towards Odisha Cost till 1st May.
