Differences Between Government and Attorney General

There are no differences between the Government and Attorney General KK Venugopal, the reports of the differences between the duos is absolutely in-correct- Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. These differences are in regard to the case which involves sexual harassment against the Chief Justice.

A case was made by a dismissed woman who was an employee of the court against the chief Justice Rajan Gogoi. Venugopal had written to all the judges of Supreme Court to set up a three-membered committee, of retired judges of the apex court, to look in the matter.

The three-membered committee looked very closely in the matter, however, those three members were sitting judges of the Supreme Court.

This might have raised the news of differences between the duos, but Jaitley remarked in the tweet that, Venugopal a senior member of the Bar, can have some views on issues in the matter, the government respects him for the advice given by him.

The three Judge panel gave a clean chit to CJI Gogoi.
