Renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk has entered the discussion on the need for significant immigration reforms in the United States, particularly concerning the challenges faced by skilled workers seeking domestic visas. Musk, the founder of Tesla, took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his opinion, stating that while entering the United States illegally seems relatively straightforward, it is excessively difficult for legal immigrants to relocate to the country. He characterized the current system as "madness" and suggested that the focus should shift towards curbing illegal immigration while substantially increasing legal immigration opportunities.

Musk's comments were prompted by immigration data shared by Aaron Levie, CEO of Box, which highlighted the limited number of slots available for high-skilled workers (capped at 85,000) who aspire to work in the United States. Levie's post lamented that the current system hampers the nation's ability to attract and retain skilled talent.
