Hyderabad Techie Gangrape Case: Police Form Special Teams to Nab Second Suspect
In a disturbing case of sexual assault in Hyderabad, the Vanasthalipuram police have intensified their efforts to apprehend the second suspect involved in the gangrape of a 25-year-old woman. The victim, a software employee, was assaulted by two individuals known to her during a celebration at a bar and restaurant in Vanasthalipuram on Monday night. The woman, who had recently secured a job in a software company, was out with friends when the horrific incident occurred.
The primary suspects are Gautham, a childhood friend of the victim, and M Shivaji Reddy, a local Congress leader from Chotuppal. Gautham was arrested by the police on Tuesday evening and has since been presented in court. However, Shivaji Reddy remains at large, with authorities actively searching for him. Reports suggest that Shivaji Reddy has close ties to a senior Congress leader, which has allegedly hindered the police's efforts to arrest him.
Despite these challenges, the police remain resolute in their pursuit, stating that they will only be able to confirm Shivaji Reddy's political connections once he is apprehended. The case has drawn significant public attention, with calls for swift justice for the victim.
