India and China dominate by being about half of the 11.7 international students in the US
A data released recently by the department of homeland security (DHS) has revealed that India and China make up to half of the 11.7 lakh international students in the United States. This survey has been based on SEVIS figures and as of March 2019.
It also says that the majority of Indians around 75% have been enrolled in a Masters degree while the Chines dominated the bachelor's degree.
Indians continue to go to the US for their masters and this trend will continue for the coming few years. Also, the H1B visa which allows them to stay and work in the US getting tougher it would be challenging for them to sustain going forward.
