India says No Deal, Demands for Pilot Release Immediately
There will be no deal on the Indian Air Force pilot captured by Pakistan, says India. “We want him back, immediate return is expected,” sources said.
“If Pakistan thinks that they can negotiate on this, it is not going to be true,” sources said confirming India is doing everything to get back the pilot.
On the other hand, Pakistan said that it will consider releasing pilot if tension de-escalates. “We are ready to hand over the Indian pilot if it leads to de-escalation," the Pakistan foreign ministry spokesman.
The pilot was captured yesterday after aerial combat between Indian and Pakistani jet planes. The government summoned the Pakistani envoy demanding the immediate and safe return of the pilot.
