Indian Physician In US Honored With A Parade
It’s been one of the most viral videos on social media nowadays, a never-ending fleet of first responders, including in official cops vehicles, ambulance and fire trucks, driving by, beeping the horns in appreciation, honoring an Indian physician who stands outside her house in South Windsor, Connecticut. She graciously acknowledges the love accorded to her by waving and blowing kisses to the personnel who involved in the grand parade.
In the video circulating globally, the Indian American physician named Dr. Uma Rani Madhusudana is seen, who is an Internist, works for Hartford Healthcare, at their Midstate Medical Center, CT. Coming to the details, the parade, as per the social media, was for Dr. Madhusudana’s outstanding work to help patients afflicted with COVID 19.
The video was cheering and encouraging to watch, and all the more poignant after a flood of reports of healthcare professionals, at the forefront of the war against the deadly coronavirus pandemic, who were working long shifts in pathetic conditions with very less protective equipment, especially in New Jersey and New York. Some of the physicians have lost their lives, like soldiers, they have gave up their lives leading a daring charge against a mighty enemy.
Watching the video, we can realize the importance and value of celebrating the individual and her hard work, before it’s too late. It is a lesson for every human to follow, which makes the world a more respectful, kind place.
After the video clip was shared, it was liked by many Twitter users, who also appreciated the efforts of people and the way they honoured the doctor Uma Rani Madhusudana.
