India’s COVID-19 Tally Cross The 5 Lakh Mark
With over 18,552 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, India’s tally of confirmed coronavirus has crossed now 5 lakh. Of the total 5,08,953 cases, 1,97,387 are active cases and 2,95,881 recoveries.
The country recorded the highest daily spike of 18,552 in the last 24 hours which takes the Nation’s tally to 5,08,953. It took India just six days to reach from 4 lakh cases to 5 lakhs. The health ministry said that around 58.13 percent patients have recovered so far.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state in the country with 1,52,765 cases. Out of the total cases in the state, 79,815 have recovered from the coronavirus disease and 65,844 are still active. The state has reported a total of 7,106 deaths so far. Maharashtra is followed by Delhi at 77,240, Tamil Nadu at 74,622 total cases of coronavirus.
It just took 110 days for coronavirus infection in the country to reach one lakh while just 39 days more to go past the five lakh-mark.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases have surged past the 9.4 million mark and the death toll has reached over 4,80,000 globally.
