Infosys Employee Jumps to Death from Gachibowli Highrise

A Team Leader of Infosys Software organization committed suicide by jumping from a multi-store building near his office in Gachibowli on Monday morning. Police started an investigation. As per the Inspector, the deceased was suffering from bi-polar disorder.

P. Raghuram aged 35, is a native of Vijayawada is survived by his wife Sridevi and six-year-old daughter. Sridevi also works at Infosys as a software engineer.

On Monday morning, Raghu and Sridevi came to work in the office cab at 9 am. At around 10 am, the wife called Raghu to know what is he doing. Raghu told Sridevi that he is going out with his friends to have tea. One hour later, she got to know that he committed suicide by jumping from a nearby multi-storey building.

According to the Gachibowli inspector R Srinivas, Raghu had bipolar disorder for the past 13 years. "His father Venkateshwarulu has also been suffering from the same illness and now he is bedridden. Raghu underwent treatment for his illness at a hospital in Banjara Hills".

To this, he also added "On Sunday also he told Sridevi that he wanted to commit suicide due to his illness but when she started crying, he changed his mind. On Monday morning he went out of the office and walked into a multi-storey building, Mantri Celestia, and jumped from one of the floors and died on the spot. Based on the ID card, his identity was established."

Police registered the case and the body was sent for post-mortem.
