Japan Companies Offers Jobs For AP Students
Four Japan-based companies came to recruit the students of Andhra Pradesh in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging areas related to information technology in their country.
The students of GITAM University (Deemed) in Vishakhapatnam were taken for the preliminary interview on Tuesday. As per Look for Employment in Andhra Pradesh (LEAP) program initiated by State Government, the Vishakhapatnam students were lucky to get the placements in Japan Companies.
AP Innovation Society (APIS) CEO speaking about the interview said that at first 30 students will be taken as recruits and will be provided with required training. If the results obtained after training is satisfactory and the companies think the students fit their employability levels will come back to recruit more students in September.
CEO of APIS also said that companies hailing from Finland have also promised to recruit under LEAP. As part of this officials from AI Tokyo Lab & Co, Denso International India Pvt Ltd, En-Japan Inc, and Global Asset Community are campaigning in the city.
This drive provoked an encouraging response with 1977 application from 19 colleges. 300 students were shortlisted and 18 appeared the interview basing on their background. A detailed presentation about the company’s requirements is been presented to the students.
CEO of AI Tokyo Lab & Co Hiroki Tomiyama speaking about the recruitment said that it is good to see students are evincing interest in working in AI technologies and IT department. We hope many students from AP will be willing to work in Japan.
