Low-Intensity Earthquake Hits Delhi
A low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 3.5 struck Nation’s capital Delhi and its adjoining parts on Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors were mild in nature and there have been no reports of any loss due to tremors.
Earlier this day, heavy storm and winds followed by little drizzle swept across the capital and bought relief from intense heat due to sun. Today’s Intensity was 3.4 on Richter Scale with the epicenter being near Delhi-UP Border.
However, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) showed M 5.3 earthquake – 127km WSW of Aksu, China at the time of writing of this report.
This is the third earthquake to hit the city, since the lockdown has been imposed. Two earthquakes – one measuring 2.7 magnitude and the other measuring – had hit the city last month.
