Maoist Attack Kills 15 Security Personnel, Civilian In Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli
Not less than 16 people, including 15 security workforces, were slaughtered in an extemporized unstable gadget (IED) impact activated by Maoists in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli region on May 1, police said.
The impact pursued the Maoists burning 25 vehicles having a place with a street development temporary worker prior in the day, police said.
Those executed were individuals from the Quick Response Team (QRT) of Gadchiroli Police, which was en route to examine the burnt vehicles, an authority said.
The impact occurred as the vehicle came to Lendhari nallah in Kurkheda territory, the authority said.
Police groups are achieving the spot for departure task, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphatically denounced the Naxal assault on security staff, saying culprits of such viciousness won't be saved.
"Emphatically denounce the terrible assault on our security faculty in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. I salute all the fearless faculty. Their penances will never be overlooked," he tweeted.
"My musings and solidarity are with the dispossessed families. The culprits of such brutality won't be saved," the Prime Minister said in his tweet.
