Musk calls it "inevitable" as Meta introduces paid Instagram and Facebook verification.

Monday, in response to Meta's introduction of the new paid verification for Facebook and Instagram, Twitter CEO Elon Musk said it was "inevitable."
"JUST IN - Zuckerberg replicates Twitter: $12 per month to get verified and obtain a blue badge," the news outlet Disclose.tv tweeted.
"Inevitable," Musk retorted.
On Sunday, Meta said that it is trying paid Instagram and Facebook verification for a monthly fee of $11.99 for the web and $14.99 for mobile.
Guess @elonmusk effectively killed the old world of verification and badges online forever, wrote Musk consultant and former Twitter boss Sriram Krishnan in a tweet.
"The previous verification system is awful. Constant favor-exchanging, corruption, persons getting some arbitrary press article made merely to get validated, dissatisfied clients, and unequal execution are all problems. This is considerably more effective and clean "Krishnan said.
"Exactly," Musk said in response.
On the message from the CEO of Twitter, several people commented.
Verification will just become another company expenditure that your accountant may deduct, like office supplies and coffee, said another.
