Narendra Modi Announces One Nation-One Ration!
As the country is under lockdown and facing a lot of problems, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is often addressing the nation to give strength to the people. Today, he announced ‘One Nation-One Ration’ for the poor people which gave relief. He announced the extension of PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana till the end of November which costs the government over Rs 90 thousand crores.
Rs. 31,000 crore deposited in bank accounts of 20 crore poor families and Rs. 18,000 crore deposited in bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers in the last 3 months. All this is from the package of 1.75 lakh crore which was announced earlier.
Also, Modi spoke about COVID. He said that the country is still in a better position because of the timely measures taken by the government. He also said that a special focus is needed on containment areas. He thanked farmers and taxpayers who helped the government to support the poor in critical condition. This move by the PM is appreciable as it was taken at the right time.
Though the COVID cases in India are increasing, the situation is stable. However, the population has become the main reason for more cases besides the negligence of the people. However, many opine it would have been better if the government opted for continuous lockdown instead of the ‘on-off’ process.
