New SOPs For Restaurants, Hotels And Religious Places
The Centre has released a new set of guidelines for the religious and commercial establishments, hotels, malls and restaurants are set to reopen on Monday after a gap of over two months.
Employees specially the older staff members or those who are pregnant or have underlying medical conditions have been asked to take extra precautions.
Also, the visitors in mall should be in a staggered state. For religious places, touching of idols have been prohibited. All the visitors should cover their face with a mask and this has to be worn all the time. Temperature screening has been made mandatory at the places.
The ministry also asked hotels and restaurant owners to encourage contactless mode of ordering and digital payments (using e-wallets). Hotels and hospitality services have to maintain a proper record of the guest’s travel history and medical condition, along with ID and self-declaration form.
Also, the seating capacity in the restaurants have been reduced to 50 percent only. Disposable menus are advised to be used. Instead of cloth napkins, use of disposable paper napkins should be encouraged.
All these measures will come into effect from Monday, 8 June.
