Ratan Tata Commits Rs 500 Cr To Fight COVID-19
Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group, took to social media and announced that the Tata Trusts will donate ₹500 crores for the coronavirus situation in the country.
The funds donated will be used for Personal Protective Equipment for the medical personnel on the frontlines, respiratory systems for treating increasing cases, and for testing kits.
Ratan Tata, taking it to Instagram, showed his concern over the corona crisis and wrote, “The COVID 19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges we will face as a race. The Tata Trusts and the Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time.”
While India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani had announced that Reliance Industries has set up the country’s first Covid-19 hospital. It has been also coming to the news that Azim Premji has donated Rs. 50,000 crore rupees to the philanthropic field.
Ratan Tata also wrote, “We are deeply grateful and have immense respect for every member organizations who have risked their life and safety to fight this pandemic”.
