SC Picks Ex-Judge to Probe If A Gang Is Trying to Fix Benches, Frame CJI
The lewd behavior grumbling against CJI Ranjan Gogoi took on a bigger measurement on Thursday, 25 April, with the Supreme Court selecting previous SC judge AK Patnaik to test, with assistance from the CBI, Intelligence Bureau, and Delhi police, an attorney's claims that a 'pack of fixers' allied with disappointed and rejected SC representatives were endeavoring to oversee seats and casing the CJI.
"We need to see if there are ex-workers (of SC), fixers and go-betweens included. This is a genuine claim that there is seat fixing. This test is free of the regulatory side investigation into the lewd behavior objection (by an expelled lady worker). This test is totally isolated from that. Result of this request will not influence the in-house technique/request which is pending in the regulatory side," a seat of Justices Arun Mishra, RF Nariman, and Deepak Gupta said.
