Telangana Best In Health Care Indices
Since the formation of Telangana as an individual state, it has done great in terms of healthcare facilities and which reflect the performance of the health of a population.
Telangana’s previous years data shows how well performed it terms of maternal and infant mortality rates, neonatal, under-5 mortality and total fatality rates and that it is even better than the national average.
Telangana has become the best among the southern states in detection, containment and treatment of Covid-19. The Covid-19 Performance Index was developed by the FICCI, ASCI and FTCCI and among the five states, Telangana outperformed all of these.
Telangana has also invested hugely in upgrading health infrastructure and in bringing new healthcare facilities. It also recruited health workers regularly at every level including primary, secondary and tertiary that shows the level of planning and management Telangana has.
Since it attained statehood, Telangana government has allocated and spent a staggering Rs 677.42 crore only towards procurement of new diagnostic medical equipment, infrastructure and financially supporting the KCR Kits scheme.
There has also been seen an increase attempt in allocating more medical seats and launching new medical colleges in the State. Also, apart from the existing nine government medical colleges, the health authorities have plans to add seven more medical colleges in the newly formed districts.
