Telangana, Now Among The 10 Worst Affected States By COVID-19

As the Coronavirus cases in Telangana continue to shoot up, the state is now in the list of 10 worst affected states by COVID-19 in India.

Telangana, on Thursday reported more than 700 cases for the third consecutive day. So far the state has 10,444 infections of the virus, while the active cases stood at 5858.

With the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus increasing by each day, the state has now been in the 10 most-affected states in India. Maharashtra is still at the top spot with the number rod infections as 1,42,900, followed by Delhi(70,390), Tamil Nadu(67,468), Gujarat(28,943), Uttar Pradesh(19,557), Rajasthan(16,009) the top in terms of infections of virus.

With around 16,000 cases Rajasthan is in sixth place, followed by West Bengal with around 15,000 cases. Madhya Pradesh(12,448), Haryana(12,010), Telangana(10,444), Andhra Pradesh(10,331), Karnataka(10,118) made it to the next spots.

It is to be recalled that Telangana took only one week to surpass 10,000-mark from 5,000 cases. On the 14th of June, Telangana has more than 5k cases and within a week, everything went upside down.

Also, scientists predict that if the same trend continues in Telangana, then it will not take much time for it be among the 5 worst affected state by coronavirus in India.
