There will be four sections to Hyderabad.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has a distinct sound, and it has for a long time. But based on the remarks made by Minister of Cinematography and R&B Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, it won't be long until Hyderabad is split up into four corporations.
According to Komatireddy's most recent briefing, Hyderabad will have four corporations and four mayors due to the city's projected population of over 1.5 crore. He explained that the concept of dividing it into four distinct firms for more focused development was motivated by the population's constant growth. Hyderabad (under the GHMC) now has a single mayor, and the elections for the GHMC are typically hotly contested.
However, according to the Telangana Congress camp's idea, the GHMC could be divided into four sections, each with its own mayor. It is possible that the Telangana government is doing the break-up act before the GHMC elections, which are set for 2026. Nevertheless, as this is a significant administrative action on the part of the government, much legal and revenue consultation would be required. It remains to be seen if CM Revanth Reddy is genuinely focused on seeing this through to completion.
