Travel Ban, Assets Freezing For Azhar-Pakistan
Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar receive a title of Global Terrorist by the UN. As a citizen of Pakistan, the government has issued a travel ban and ordered to freeze all his assets, also banning him from selling or purchasing arms and ammunition.
The terrorist attack on Pulwama which killed 40 Jawans and led a spike in Military tension between India and Pakistan, the JeM claimed the responsibility of that attack, which in turn caused that the chief Azhar was responsible for the suicide attack.
The Resolution 2368 (2017) is fully implemented against Azhar, the federal government was pleased to inform, Pakistan’s foreign ministry notified on Wednesday. According to the notification, the government directed the officials to take the action, as appropriate for the implementation sanctions, against the JeM Chief.
The Title of Global Terrorist was implemented on Azhar by the UN after China lifted its hold on the proposal. China had to take the decision as the three countries US, UK and France threaten to blacklist it.
