Tricolor Flag Without Stitches
A tricolor flag is a stitched flag, with Saffron White and Green stripes stitched together, in one of a kind experiment, R Satyanarayana, a handloom weaver sold his home to weave an unstitched tricolor flag.
In a village of Andhra Pradesh, a handloom weaver, R Satyanarayana had a dream of weaving an unstitched tricolor flag. His dream was a quite costly one for which he had to sell his dwelling home, the amount needed to be 6.5 lakhs to weave a single 8ft X 12ft unstitched flag, which he did and shifted into a rented home. The big flags, are so made that the three strips saffron white and green are generally stitched together and then a flag is made.
The village weaver also met current Prime Minister Modi and handed him the flag, when he visited Vishakhapatnam recently, however, he did not get a chance to explain the uniqueness of the flag.
The village weaver further dreams that the flag he made should be hosted on the red fort.
