Unlock 6 To Continue Unlock 5 Guidelines Till November 30

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday said the “guidelines for reopening” issued last month shall be in effect till November 30.

No new changes to the existing Unlock 5 guidelines and said they would continue to be implemented in November.

The Unlock 5 guidelines which were issued in September had stated that for re-opening of schools and coaching institutions, states and Union Territories have been given the flexibility to take a decision to reopen their institutions in a graded manner.

States and Union Territories will need to prepare their SOPs in line with the Centre’s Unlock 5 guidelines, and in accordance with the ground situation in their respective units.

Activities and services such as metro rail, shopping malls, hotel, restaurants, hospitality services, religious places, yoga and training institutes, gymnasiums, cinemas; entertainment park have been allowed with some restrictions.

Also, International air travel of passengers as permitted by MHA. Cinemas/theatres/multiplexes allowed yo open upto 50% of their seating capacity.

Swimming pools being used for training of sportspersons permitted to open subject to standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Further decision regarding the above activities will be taken based on the assessment of the situation.
