“We will Surprise You” – Pak to India
Responding to the IAF air strike on JeM terror group in Balakot on Tuesday in response to the attack in Pulwama two weeks ago, Pakistan Army Spokesperson said: “We will surprise you”. The response would include all domains including diplomatic, political and military, he added.
Though they denied the fact that the Indian Air Force had struck a terrorist camp and caused heavy casualties, Pakistan promised to respond at the right time.
A special meeting of the National Security Committee was held in Pakistan hours after air strikes where Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the armed forces and the people of his country to prepare for all eventualities.
Besides a special meeting of the National Command Authority, a joint session of the parliament was also held on Wednesday.
A few days back, former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf, under whom the NCA was set up, said that India could finish Pakistan by attacking with 20 nuclear bombs if Pakistan attacks with even single nuclear bomb on the neighbouring country.
But Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday said, "Do not underestimate us. We have our own sense of timing and we will act and react. Pakistan will do what Pakistan should do... we will not disappoint the people of Pakistan."
However, Mr Qureshi ended his news conference abruptly, after facing tough questions from the media.
