Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man and founder of Amazon, has recently bought the most expensive property in Los Angeles from David Geffen for $165 million (1200 crore).

The property is built in Georgian style, with expansive terraces and its own nine-hole golf course. The home was originally designed for Warner Bros. Studios executive Jack Warner in the 1930s and it features two guest houses, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a nine-hole golf course.

Bezos already owns a big mansion in Washington D.C. He also owns 170,000 hectares (420,000 acres) in Texas. Bezos is presently the world’s richest individual. Reports of him buying a house came just after a regulatory filing revealing that Bezos cashed out $4.1 billion of Amazon shares.

Jeff Bezos has also turned an art lover. In November 2019, he bought artist Ed Ruscha’s most expensive artwork, Hurting the Word Radio #2, worth $52.5 million, at a Christie’s auction. He also purchased Vignette 19 by Kerry James Marshall for $18.5 million.

His counterpart Bill Gates recently commissioned a hydrogen-powered $644 million superyacht from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. His yacht has been nicknamed as Aqua.
