22 Private Medical Colleges To Open For Corona Treatment In Hyderabad
With the increasing number of coronavirus infected patients and suspected cases, the government plans to open
Telangana government has permitted the private hospitals to come up with experts and isolation wards for coronavirus treatment. Eatela Rajender, Health Minister for Telangana said, “Even the samples can be taken in the private hospital and sent to Gandhi for tests. If it is positive, they can get treatment in the same hospital.”
Some of the hospitals that came forward include hospitals like Surabhi, Mahavir, Mamatha, RVM, Apollo, Bhaskara, Kamineni, Mallareddy, Medciti, MNR, Pratima and Sadhana. The government has appreciated their efforts and has encouraged other hospitals to follow the same.
Minister also brought it to notice that people who are financially strong to afford the treatment in private colleges can go to colleges. Earlier, people were visiting government-owned Gandhi Hospital.
“The private medical colleges have come forward to help us not just to keep people there in isolation but also to treat people in the same way as Gandhi Hospital with the same equipment and provide technical experts to start the treatment. This was unexpected,” said the minister.
