Jathi Ratnalu Movie Review

The makers of the film, Jathi Ratnalu built up positive buzz to the movie with their innovative promotional activities and the movie registered excellent advance bookings in the overseas and domestic circuit as well. The trailer and teasers has shown that the film is a full-length comedy entertainer. Let us see the review of the film.

Story:

The story of the film revolves around 3 friends Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Priyadarshi who come to Hyderabad in pursuit of a nice lifestyle, but things horribly change for them and they are accused of a murder attempt on MLA, Murali Sharma. Why did they commit murder attempt? Can these friends come out unscathed from this mess? Will form the rest of the story.

Performances:

Naveen Polishetty is the star of the movie as he delivers a great performance with his comedy timing, dialogue and mannerisms. Rahul Ramakrishna does a meaty role and he makes the most of it with his role impressive. Priyadarshi is decent in the film. Lead actress, Faria Abdullah makes a striking debut with the film and performs well. Murali Sharma as local MLA did his best. Vennela Kishore makes a very brief appearance in the film and there is to nothing mention about his role.

Technical Performance:

Anudeep KV pens a wafer thin story and tries to explain the proceedings in a comical manner. The first half of the film is breezy and carries a good tempo with the first 5-10 minutes. The situational comedy which has been generated through the three friends Naveen, Rahul, and Darshiwill keep the audiences engaged with their performances. The love track between the lead pair is shown very good, But in the second half there is a letdown when compared to the first. It fails to carry forward the momentum, which was built in the first half as many scenes seem unnecessarily and lengthy. The music is good. Cinematography is done decent. Editing in the second half can be done better. Production values are done good.
