Samuthirakani Clarifies Viral Remarks on Vijay and Trisha Controversy
Actor Samuthirakani has addressed the controversy surrounding a viral video clip that sparked backlash online. The clip, which featured him in conversation with filmmaker Bala, was widely interpreted as criticism of actor-politician Vijay.
The video gained traction on social media, leading to strong reactions from fans who believed his remarks targeted Vijay. However, Samuthirakani clarified that the clip was incomplete and did not represent the full context of his statements.
“I was aware that the recording was happening, but only a portion of the conversation was shared,” he explained in a recent media interaction. According to him, the video omitted the beginning of the discussion, resulting in misinterpretation and speculation.
He emphasized that he speaks candidly and does not alter his views for public perception. “I don’t know how to think one thing and say another. Whether it’s joy or pain, I express it honestly,” he said, adding that he does not regret his remarks.
The controversy intensified as it coincided with public appearances of Vijay alongside actress Trisha Krishnan, which had already become a trending topic. In the earlier clip, Samuthirakani had questioned such public displays, suggesting that certain matters should remain private.
Clarifying his stance, he stated that his comments were driven by concern rather than criticism. “It came from a place of emotion and care at that moment,” he said.
The actor’s clarification aims to dispel misunderstandings and shift focus away from speculation, though the episode highlights how partial content can quickly fuel controversy in the digital age.
