Vikrant Rona Review

Kannada actor Sudeep’s high budget movie, Vikrant Rona under the direction of Anup Bhandari had a pan-India release today and let’s see how it is.

Story:
To crack the series of mysterious deaths and unexpected events, a police officer named Vikrant Rona ( Sudeep) comes to a remote village named Komarattu. Soon after landing Vikrant keep suspecting many people in the region and in his investigation, will Vikrant be able to track the mystery behind the deaths in the village? What is his actual motive behind coming to Komarattu? To know, you have to watch the movie in the theatre near you.
Performances:
Talented hero Sudeep impresses with his performance in the lead role and his
typical mannerisms and stylish screen presence are an added advantage for the film. The way he carried the second half proceedings with settled performance brings depth to the narrative.
Nirup Bhandari gets a meaty role and did justice to it. Especially, his makeover during the climax portions comes as a surprise element of the movie.
Ravishankar Gowda did his key role nicely. Young beauty Neetha Ashok did her part quit effectively and other supporting artists who did crucial roles are apt in their respective roles.
Technical aspects:
The cinematography from William David is outstanding. Music composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath is good. While all the song are passable on screen, his background score during the second half proceedings register well. Editing done by Ashik Kusugolli is fine but he would have chopped off close to ten minutes unwanted scenes in the first half.
Coming to Anup Bhandari, the director has came up with a fresh concept and wrote the scene order on a proper but he would have locked a crisp runtime by avoiding a few unwanted scenes in the first half.
