Abhinandan’s Moustache Should Get National Status: Congress Leader
IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman’s bravery during India and Pakistan War this year is unforgettable. His risk for the country and his gunshot answers to Pak army made India proud.
Apart from his service to the country, the most talked thing is Abhinandan’s moustache. Youth has taken it as inspiration. Some people even praised Abhinandan as ‘Real Singham’ referring him to Suriya in Singham film.
Now, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury demanded that IAF wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s 'gunslinger moustache' should be declared as the 'national moustache’.
He also demanded to award Abhinandan for his bravery. Replying to this, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted that he wants to see all his friends in the Congress sporting Abhinandan's moustaches (smiley emoji).
The Congress wants India to have a ‘national moustache’. I look forward to seeing all my friends in the Congress sporting Abhinandan ‘taches 😀 https://t.co/XCg38R6IsR
In the Indian army, the moustache is considered as a symbol of the dashing nature of men. There is no problem even if Abhinandan’s moustache didn’t get any status but he must be awarded in the right way for his service to India.
