Trump Says Iran Ready for Nuclear Deal as Negotiations Continue
US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is prepared to abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons and reach a comprehensive agreement with the United States. Speaking during a virtual tele-rally held in support of Senator Lindsey Graham ahead of South Carolina’s Republican primary, Trump expressed confidence that diplomatic efforts with Tehran were progressing positively.
Trump stated that ongoing negotiations were moving in the right direction and suggested that Iranian leaders were willing to make major concessions. Reiterating his long-held position, he emphasized that Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons and claimed that Tehran was now ready to accept that condition as part of a broader agreement with Washington.
The US President also asserted that American military actions had significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities. According to Trump, US operations had caused extensive damage to Iran’s military infrastructure and leadership, reducing its ability to pose a strategic threat. He argued that these actions had strengthened Washington’s position in negotiations and increased pressure on Tehran to seek a diplomatic settlement.
Expressing optimism about the future of the talks, Trump predicted that a breakthrough could be achieved in the coming weeks. He suggested that a successful agreement would not only improve regional stability but could also help ease pressure on global energy markets, leading to lower oil prices.
During the rally, Trump also praised Lindsey Graham, describing him as a loyal ally who has consistently supported his policies on national security, border protection, military spending, and judicial appointments. Trump urged Republican voters in South Carolina to support Graham in the upcoming primary election and reaffirmed his complete endorsement of the senator.
The President additionally endorsed South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette, calling her a strong supporter of the “America First” agenda and predicting a successful political future for her.
