Action Must Be Taken Against Nadda: Vijayashanti

Bhartiya Janta Party national working president J P Nadda has alleged corruption in various projects that are led by the current government of Telangana. Nadda questioned the KCR-led TRS government on projects like the Kaleshwaram project.
Vijayashanti, the star campaigner of Congress in this year’s Lok Sabha elections, has challenged the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and urged him to take strict action against Nadda.
Vijayashanti said, “Now BJP national working president JP Nadda has made corruption allegations. Congress has been telling the people about this for the past five years. While KCR threatened Congress leaders of being booked, will he take action against JP Nadda and other BJP leaders”?
Vijayashanti, who also happens to be an actress and a producer, has acted in over 180 feature films and movies in various languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Her acting career spans over thirty years. She is also referred to as ‘Lady Amitabh’ in South Indian cinema.
Vijayashanti joined BJP in 1998 and was made secretary of Bharatiya Mahila Morcha, BJP’s women wing. In January 2009, she started her own political party and later merged it into TRS due to lack of support. But due to differences in opinions with TRS Chief KCR, she split up with TRS and joined the Indian National Congress party in 2014. Rahul Gandhi appointed her as a star campaigner to the election campaign committee of Telangana PCC.
