BJP MLA: You Can Marry ‘Fair’ Kashmiri Girls

Since Article 370 is scrapped, many men are happy that they can now marry Kashmiri girls. The BJP members are no behind. BJP MLA Vikram Singh recently made an objectionable statement. He said that party workers were happy over revoking of Article 370 as they could now marry ‘fair’ Kashmiri girls. He also told that BJP bachelors can now buy lands and marry the girl of their choice.

A function to celebrate the success of the party and end of the special status of Jammu &Kashmir was organized. Saini made these comments when attending the function. He said, “'If a Kashmiri woman marries a UP Man, there used to be a lot of issues like revoking the lady's citizenship in the past. This happened because India and Kashmir Citizenships were different. But now, Muslim Workers in UP can celebrate. They get the chance to marry Kashmiri Girls. Its celebration time be it Hindus or Muslims”.

On one hand, were the BJP party leaders are trying hard to do good work for the nation. Such objectionable and controversial statements from party members definitely hamper the image of the party. The legislator defended his statement by saying that he only spoke the truth and there is nothing wrong in that.

Canceling of Article 370 was passed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and will become law once President signs the bill. The state will be bifurcated into two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
